this reminds me of this one time when the laces on my boots broke so I went and bought some new ones but they were a slightly different color than the originals but overall still matched with my boots.
I might liken it (from what I understand) to brand new boots that promise to never ever leak when you step in puddles and protect you all the way up to your knee (somehow) and they're mainly better than the old boots but there are still holes in the heels and they cost too much.
but now they're purchased, so might as well learn to walk in them.
